COVID-19 Online Retail Scheme

Type of scheme:

Competitive Fund with a total fund size of €5.5 m

Purpose:

Develop a more competitive online offer and enhance online presence of Irish-owned retailers.

Funding size:

Maximum of 80% of the project eligible costs with a maximum grant of €40,000
Minimum grant payable is €10,000

Eligible costs:

Research and analysis of the company’s online presence, target audience and brand.
Consultancy costs for strategy development, implementation and in-house training (maximum rate of €900/day for not more than 2 consultants from the same firm at any one time).
Salary costs for maximum 1 senior project champion (manager level or above) to work with an external service provider on this project (not more than €200/day for a maximum of 125 days; total salary costs must not exceed the costs of external service provider).

Eligibility criteria:

Irish-owned retail enterprise deriving the majority (>50%) of company revenue from retailing products directly to individual customers (B2C model).
At least 10 employees in the Republic of Ireland on a full-time equivalent basis.
Existing online presence (e.g. website or social media).
Proposed project should add significant functionality to the online presence.
Company expenditure on the project should exceed of €12,500.
Successful applicants in previous calls are eligible to re-apply, once they have fully completed the project previously approved, fully claimed all eligible costs and propose a clearly different project

Excluded from funding:

Applicants who were approved any other State or EU funding for the project for which they are seeking funding.
Companies where the principal business activity is the provision of a service, wholesale, car and vehicle dealership or primary production of agricultural products, fishery and aquaculture.
Companies which are currently clients of Enterprise Ireland and are eligible for other funding supports from Enterprise Ireland.
Companies which are part of a group structure with the same ultimate ownership may only submit one application for the group.
